I am an Associate Professor of Health Informatics at the Kent State University School of Information, having joined the faculty in 2012.
My work combines years of practice in academic and applied research in health care and long term care, industry experience in software development and information technology usability, and health informatics, particularly focused on usability of health IT and its use in improving quality of life in long term post-acute care settings.

Since 2004, I have operated Meehan Group, LLC, providing consultation services in health informatics research, user experience and educational material with a focus on health care, long-term care and technology, survey design, grant writing, data analysis, and focus groups.
